Quilt Back Preparation
1. Your quilt top is 100% cotton, the backing should also be 100% cotton.
2. If the backing is to be pieced;
Remove any selvages that are on the seam.
The seam should run horizontally. Use a 1/2" seam, and press the seam open.
3. Do not cut off selvages that are on the sides, top, or bottom of the backing.
4. Backing and batting must be a minimum of 8" larger than the quilt top. This will give the needed 5" all around for mounting clamps.
5. The easiest way to square backing is to make a small cut and tear the material, it will tear on the grain.
6. If the backing has a top and bottom, please mark the top with a note attached with a safety pin.

The price is determined on the complexity of the design, the quilt size and the process chosen. I offer Edge2 Edge, Custom and Semi-Custom quilting, or a combination of these. My clients will be able to see a computerized rendering of the quilted top to help them in their design choice.
